Job Summary

The Sales Territory Manager will own and grow Shukran’s footprint across the Northern Tanzania hospitality corridor.

 

This is a quota-carrying, field-intensive role focused on:

  • Property acquisition
  • GMV acceleration
  • Pipeline discipline
  • Corridor dominance

The position requires senior-level sales experience, strong local access, and structured execution under the leadership of the Head of Sales.
 

Core Objectives (First 12 Months)

  1. Build Territory Density
    • Establish Shukran as the default digital tipping solution across Serengeti & Kilimanjaro properties.
    • Map and tier all relevant properties in the corridor.
  2. Drive New Property Acquisition
    • Meet quarterly acquisition targets.
    • Prioritize high-value lodges, camps, boutique hotels, and conservancies.
  3. Grow Territory GMV
    • Ensure strong activation and early adoption.
    • Collaborate with Customer Success to optimize property performance.
    • Identify and close Ratings & Reviews dashboard SaaS upsells.
  4. Develop Strategic Relationships
    • Lodge owners
    • General Managers
    • Tourism associations
    • Hospitality groups
    • Safari operators
  5. Maintain Pipeline Discipline
    • Weekly CRM updates.
    • Accurate forecasting.
    • Stage-based deal tracking.
    • Clear close probability reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Territory Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute a quarterly territory plan aligned with Head of Sales targets.
  • Segment accounts (Tier A/B/C).
  • Maintain 3–5x pipeline coverage against quarterly quota.

Business Development

  • Conduct in-person meetings across Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro, Arusha.
  • Lead commercial discussions and close agreements.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder lodge ownership structures.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Weekly reporting to Head of Sales on:
    • Pipeline value
    • Close rate
    • Sales cycle duration
    • Projected GMV contribution

Activation Oversight

  • Coordinate handover to Customer Success.
  • Monitor first 90-day performance of new accounts.

  • Quarterly new properties signed
  • Territory GMV growth
  • Activation rate
  • SaaS upsell rate
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Close rate
  • Sales cycle duration

Compensation will include:

  • Base salary
  • GMV-linked performance bonus
  • New property acquisition incentives

Required Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in:
    • B2B sales
    • Territory management
    • Enterprise or mid-market account acquisition
  • Demonstrated quota achievement history.
  • Strong network within Northern Tanzania hospitality ecosystem preferred.
     

Preferred Experience

  • Technology, SaaS, fintech, or payments sales.
  • Hospitality operations background.
  • Exposure to tourism, lodge, or safari ecosystems.
